I'm Cheryl N., the breeder behind Newberry Dachshund located in Alameda County, CA. I offer top-quality Miniature Dachshund puppies for families who share the same love and passion that I do for these lovely companions. I breed with a focus on health, temperament, ability, and conformation, since I breed when I am looking to produce my next show dog. The rest of my puppies typically go to loving family homes, and they make wonderful companions!
Q. & A. with Cheryl
Why did you start breeding?
Dachshunds are an incredible breed, and I decided to start my breeding program in order to preserve the wonderful qualities I found in my dogs. They excel both in and out of the show ring. I have been dedicated to improving my lines with each generation so that the breed will continue to thrive for a long time to come.
What makes your program special?
I am an experienced breeder, and I take my role seriously. I keep a variety of factors in mind when choosing dogs to breed, including health, temperament, pedigree, and complementary traits, so that puppies can inherit the best of both parents.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
