I'm Des N., the breeder behind Newlander Labradors located in Chesterland, OH. We have a combination of Champion Show and Master Hunt title dogs in all our pedigrees. We believe that a labrador should look like a labrador and nothing else and should work like one too! Our dogs have Brains and Beauty all in one package.
Q. & A. with Des
Why did you start breeding?
I grew up with Labradors and trained our house dogs as a child. I have always loved animals and training them comes easily. We bought our foundation male in 2004 and became my son's brother. 2 under 2 haha it was so much fun to see them grow up together as I did as a child.
What makes your program special?
I breed for a certain type that is recognized by every person, that it's a Labrador! So many others just breed color to color. I breed for temperament and structure. You will see when you take the time to look at my dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
