I'm Tanda S., the breeder behind Newsong Cockers & Shih Tzu located in Snohomish, WA. I breed to the AKC Breed Standard, with emphasis on health, temperament, beautiful breed type, sound structure, and big beautiful eyes/expression. I won’t breed a dog with health issues even if it is a gorgeous top-winner in the show ring. Many years of research and sacrifice have gone into these bloodlines, and I want to be a good steward of the future Cocker Spaniels and Shih Tzus.

Why did you start breeding?
I have always been invested in the well-being of animals. I wanted to give back to the breed by producing healthy pups and placing them into loving homes. I am a proud breeder of Cocker Spaniels and Shih Tzus and am so excited to share my love of them with the world. My heavy involvement in the show world speaks to the standards that I breed my dogs by. I will always stand behind my puppies.What makes your program special?
I am a professional handler of Cocker Spaniels and Shih Tzus. I do not breed my dogs unless they are fully healthy and genetically tested. I am dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, socializing, and training my pups. I love what I do and truly want the very best for my puppies and their forever families.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Shih Tzu puppies are gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Tanda
Tanda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $1,000 refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Price includes health guarantee, socialization, wellness exam, and spay-neuter contract. Price can vary according to the age and quality of the puppy, as well as any added expenses of that litter (C-section or frozen semen). Deposit is refundable until 2 weeks prior to puppies “go home” date at 8-12 weeks depending on the litter.”
Contract & health guarantee
Tanda may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
