I'm Colton N., the breeder behind Nichols' Miniature Dachshund located in Lexington, TN. We do our best to socialize and acclimate each litter so we’re able to offer all-around healthy and well-mannered puppies! Over the years we’ve learned valuable methods for socializing our puppies. Each litter has a clean and safe environment to learn and grow so they have the best chance of becoming amazing family members!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We don’t recognize as full time breeders but as a hobby. We love our dogs and other animals we have.
  • What makes your program special?

    I don’t claim to be special or different from other breeders. I just want to spread the miniatures dachshund breed in my area
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include chocolate and wild boar and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
