Meet the breeder

I'm Vanessa L., the breeder behind Nickel City Aussies located in Buffalo, NY. Q. & A. with Vanessa

  • Why did you start breeding?

Ever since I got my first Aussie in 2009, I felt such a strong connection with the breed. I got more and more involved with the breed, and I decided to begin breeding. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and I am so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.
  • What makes your program special?

At Nickel City Aussies, we produce excellent companions that can also make wonderful sport dogs. We understand the importance of dog health, temperament, and structure, and every breeding decision is made accordingly. We are also constantly improving our breeding program and work closely within the Australian Shepherd community to do so.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
