North Georgia Gems

Meet the breeder

I'm Whitnie P., the breeder behind North Georgia Gems located in Mount Airy, GA. My passion is to breed top-quality puppies and connect them with loving forever homes. I focus on breeding dogs with complementary personalities and conformation in order to raise the best all-around family companions that also have great herding ability and drive. I can't wait to connect you with your next forever companion!

Q. & A. with Whitnie

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have had Aussies for a really long time. I am passionate about this breed and I started my program because I wanted to put my passion to good use! I bought a gorgeous puppy from another breeder who's my mentor as well. It's been a joyful commitment, and it is a pleasure to live with, work with, and share with others these wonderful dogs!
  • What makes your program special?

I hold myself to a high standard when it comes to my dogs and policies. I carefully plan each litter with a focus on making sure that the male and female benefit each other and have excellent personalities and conformation. I want my puppies to be good family companions with great drive and herding ability, too! My dogs are my family, and I give that same love to each puppy as I prepare them to join their forever homes.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
