Meet the breeder

I'm Faith T., the breeder behind North Star Retrievers located in Rock Hill, SC. We like to cross field line males with show line females for a well-rounded look and temperament. All our puppies are raised in our home surrounded by plenty of love and socialization with our 7 children, 9 dogs and 4 cats! We begin working on basic obedience, retrieving, and introduction to water (weather permitting). Pups will be vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, and DNA health tested through Embark. Puppies come with our health guarantee and a go home bag that includes training treats, toys, and a blanket with mom and littermates’ scent on it. We also provide lifetime support for any questions or concerns you should ever have with your puppy. Past puppies have gone on to be trained as hunting retrievers, therapy dogs, and much loved family companions.

Getting a puppy from Faith

Faith has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Faith partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Once puppies are six weeks old and have had their health check at the vet and first vaccinations (and personalities have had a bit of a chance to develop), we schedule a weekend of appointments for everyone to come out and meet and choose their puppy in person. If you can’t make it in person, we will send plenty of photos and videos. Pick order is in the order of deposits received. Puppies go home at eight weeks old, as it is very important to their psychological development for them to remain with mom and littermates until that age. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“Price includes AKC limited registration, vaccinations, deworming, DNA health testing, microchip, treats, toys, blanket, vet health exam, and our health guarantee. We also provide lifetime support for any questions or concerns you should ever have with your puppy. We ask for a deposit to secure your pick of the litter. Deposits are non-refundable unless your choice of color & gender is unavailable, but they are transferable to any future litters.”

Contract & health guarantee

Faith may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Faith offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Faith directly.

Faith was amazing to work with! She was always responsive and shared helpful insights on what to do, and what to avoid, when raising a Labrador puppy. I learned so much through the process, and it’s clear the puppies were raised in a loving, caring home. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a puppy! Mabel is already my best friend :)

Faith quickly responded to all of my questions. From day one, we were smitten with our Fred girl. She is very bright and already knows sit, stay and shake (always with the right paw). I could not be more pleased with our experience with Faith and North Star Retrivers. Our Fred nearly doubled her weight in 3 weeks. Fred gets along great with our 6 year old chocolate, Lou. Thank you Faith for a great chocolate lab puppy experience.

Faith was very responsible and accomodating with picking up my puppy from a different state. We met up at the airport right in the departures, it was great. Here is my beautiful girl Kora, great with other dogs, children, and very active. I can not reccommend Faith enough!!! I will be looking for another puppy through her.
