I'm Aryanna R., the breeder behind North State Shih tzus located in Chico, CA. Introducing Our Adorable Shih Tzu Puppies! We are proud to offer our beautiful Shih Tzu puppies to loving homes! Our dogs are not only healthy but also possess wonderful temperaments that make them perfect companions. When we welcomed our first Shih Tzu into our family, we were instantly in love. Their affectionate nature and playful spirit captured our hearts, and since that moment, we’ve made it our mission to bring happy, healthy puppies into the lives of other families. Each of our puppies is raised in a loving environment, ensuring they are well-socialized and ready to become part of your family. We take great care in their upbringing, focusing on health, temperament, and a strong bond with their human companions.   • Why did you start breeding?

    We fell in love with the breed when our daughter brought her first shih tzu home.

  • What makes your program special?

    Ours is a family love. Everyone participates in raising the adults & loving the puppies. They are socialized to all age kids, dogs & cats. Our dogs are health tested by Embark & clear. We offer stud services. We have 3 males available

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, liver, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Aryanna

Aryanna has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Aryanna partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $1,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

    I’ve been working with Aryanna and her mom, Dee Dee since November of 2025. Dee Dee was so responsive and answered all of my questions (she continues to answer my questions). I even got to see the sonogram when Harper was pregnant and was the first to know (aside from the breeder) when Sierra, our puppy, was born. Sierra is a sweet and sassy addition to our family.     Arianna at North State Shih Tzus was absolutely incredible throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, she was responsive, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely caring. I was going through some difficult personal circumstances during the time I brought Knox home, and she was beyond accommodating and understanding every step of the way. You can truly tell she cares deeply about both her puppies and the families they go to. Knox has been an amazing puppy. His temperament is outstanding — calm, loving, playful, and incredibly well-socialized. It was obvious from day one that he had been raised with a tremendous amount of love, attention, and care during the first eight weeks of his life. He even came already started on potty training, which made the transition so much easier and showed the level of effort and dedication Arianna puts into her puppies. You can also tell North State Shih Tzus has exceptional breeding dogs with wonderful temperaments and quality traits because Knox is such a well-balanced, healthy, and beautiful Shih Tzu. I honestly could not have asked for a better experience or a better puppy. I would highly recommend Arianna and North State Shih Tzus to anyone looking for a Shih Tzu. If I ever decided to get another one in the future, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

    We're in love with Bubbles! Aryanna and her team were great to work with and we're super happy with our experience selecting Bubbles (aka Chestnut). Communication, deposit and payment day of was smooth through the GoogDog platform. We received updates each week leading up to our pickup with was at a convenient middle ground for us all. Bubbles is a beautiful Shih Tzu with wonderful colors and fun yet even temperament. Now home a few weeks potty training is going well and we're enjoying puppy time!
