I'm Lisa M., the breeder behind NorthAcre Shelties located in Temperance, MI. We offer quality dogs bred to the standard. We strive to breed healthy, quality pups that can fit any lifestyle. Our dogs have excellent health and temperament. We do our part to ensure they are well-socialized and capable to thrive in an active home with small children and other pets.
Q. & A. with Lisa
Why did you start breeding?
In my twenties, I wanted a Sheltie for my children. I went to a dog show to find a quality breeder and was so amazed, I wished one day I could be involved in conformation too. Years later my lifestyle gave me the opportunity to pursue my interest. I met several Sheltie breeders and mentors. I became a member of the Tampa Bay Shetland Sheepdog Club in 2016 and started my breeding and handling program.
What makes your program special?
My dogs are bred to AKC conformation standards. All puppies are AKC registered. I like to form life long relationships with my puppy buyers. I am always available to answer questions and offer support.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are sable and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
