I'm Annie M., the breeder behind Northern Aussies located in Athol, ID. We are a small family breeder who loves our Aussie mama and all her adorable babies.
Puppies are whelped inside and remain there until 4-5 weeks of age. After this time they are exposed to puppy play areas where they have more room to move about and strengthen their legs as they learn to walk and play. Puppies are handled daily from birth and are exposed to different toys, sounds and surfaces. All of which are very important to the development of a young puppy’s mind and confidence.
Puppies are exposed at age appropriate times-grass, gravel, hard floors, wood chips, carpet, uneven surfaces, raised surfaces, baths, power tools, and even a small pool. They spend the day in the large pen, playing in the yard, or in and out of our home.
Northern Aussies is an advocate of crate training and because of this, crate training is started when puppies are about 6 weeks of age. Puppies are not yet house trained for you, but this process gives new owners a head start in potty training.

Puppies are ready for their new homes at 8 weeks of age. The goal is that puppy parents have a positive experience bringing home their new family member. Whether this is your first puppy or your 10th puppy, Northern Aussies is here to help you every step of the way!
Deposits are placed with the intent to purchase. Deposits are non-refundable.
