I'm Alicia M., the breeder behind Northwest Dachshunds located in Arlington, WA. Our Mini Dachshunds are exceptionally bred and raised in our home including new techniques to ensure long, healthy lives. We breed for structure health and temperament. Puppy massage, early neural & core strengthen to prepare your puppy for your loving home. Crate & litter box train. Akc & genetics.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We love Dachshunds and couldn’t have just one. We found that in WA, backyard breeders and sadly we fell into the category of buying puppies not bred correctly. This led to severe health issues, heart, teeth, back failures, seizures & more. So we decided to keep our breed alive we would breed only high quality Dachshunds that have exceptional structure and Health, genetics Akc & for temperament
  • What makes your program special?

    We start with an exceptional pedigrees and correct Structure to ensure a Healthy Dog is the result of correct breeding. We are hands on with your puppy until they go home introducing Early Neurological Stimulation & puppy massage. Water techniques for core are started with your puppy at 4 wks old to insure strong correct structure and proper growth plates, crate & litter box trained & socialized
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Alicia

Alicia has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $3,100 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes AKC Limited Registration, microchipping, health check up, 1st shots, litter and pan, 5lb bag of food vitamins. Toys, bully sticks blanket binder, 1st shots & vet checked. I reserve the Pick of litter, contact me, will give details. Must meet me at my house to get approved for puppy. Deposit once puppy is chosen at 5 wks. If no response you loose spot or move up.”

Contract & health guarantee

Alicia may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Wisdom Panel, PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 4 (PRA-crd4), DNA Profile, DNA Coat/Trait Panel, D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, Chondrodystrophy (CDDY and IVDD Risk) with or without Chondrodysplasia (CDPA), Animal Genetics Panel, Agouti DNA Test, DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
