Meet the breeder

I'm Grace R., the breeder behind Northwest Ohio Aussies located in Van Wert, OH. We proudly raise purebred Australian Shepherd puppies. All of our Aussies are bred with the highest standards of genetic testing and registration in mind. We produce loving puppies that will make a great four-legged addition to your family!

Q. & A. with Grace

  • Why did you start breeding?

Breeding has been something that my family has been invested in for a while, first with Rat Terriers, then English Shepherds, and now Aussies. My sister and I decided to start breeding Australian Shepherds so that others can share in the joy of owning an Aussie that we have experienced.
  • What makes your program special?

We raise genetically health-tested puppies that are registered according to high breed standards. Our breeding program focuses on producing loving, well-socialized puppies that will make a great addition to any family. We nurture our puppies’ sweet personalities and help them become the best that they can be.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, and black tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Grace

Grace has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Grace partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“It is important to us that our puppies are placed with the right family. Our puppies are matched once they are old enough for us to have an idea of their personality and temperament, and once we know whether they would be a good fit for a buyer. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes AKC registration, first round of vaccinations and shots, a puppy sales contract, deworming, puppy socialization, dog toys, a collar, and puppy food. All of our deposits are the same price regardless of puppy color or gender. Deposits are part of the total cost.”
