I'm Marla M., the breeder behind Nothing better than Standard poodles located in Elk, WA. We strive to make sure that our puppies are the kind of dog we want to have ourselves. We love the variety of colors that poodles can come in and we have partis, phantoms, brindles and solids, in a variety of colors. We hope that each of our puppies will be a beloved member of their family.

Why did you start breeding?
I got my first poodle because my husband is allergic to most dogs, and I wouldn't go back. when I was growing up my parents had Goldens and I was blessed to have my own that I trained and raised and then raised her puppies. I have always loved purebred dogs.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, blue, cream, parti, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Marla has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $300 deposit and between $1,700 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“all puppies come with a 2.5 year genetic guarantee, microchips, vet checks, shots and worming. they are also groomed weekly and sent home with a great puppy pack. we are willing to travel a few hours to meet you. Deposits show your commitment to me, refund depends on individual situations.”
Contract & health guarantee
Marla may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Sebaceous Adenitis (SA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
