Q. & A. with Nikia
Why did you start breeding?
What Got Us Into Breeding 🐾
Our journey into breeding started from a lifelong love of dogs and a passion for giving them the very best start in life. We’ve always been a three-dog family since 2002, and through our work with rescue—fostering, volunteering, and helping transport dogs across the country—we’ve seen firsthand the difference a healthy, well-socialized puppy can make for a family.
After years of caring for dogs of all ages and backgrounds, we decided to take the same love, dedication, and hands-on experience and put it toward raising puppies with excellent health, temperament, and social skills. For us, breeding isn’t about numbers—it’s about quality, care, and preparing each puppy to thrive in their forever home. Every litter is raised right in our home, surrounded by kids, other dogs, and daily interaction, so they grow up confident, happy, and ready to be cherished family members.
What makes your program special?
What Makes Our Breeding Program Special 🐾
Our breeding program is built on love, not volume. We are not mass breeders—these dogs are our pets, our companions, and truly part of our family. We’ve been a three-dog household since 2002, and every puppy we raise comes from parents who are deeply loved and cared for every single day.
Because our dogs live in our home—not in kennels—they’re part of our daily lives, whether that’s playing in the yard, snuggling on the couch, or joining family activities. Puppies are born and raised right alongside our children, other dogs, and a steady flow of attention, making them well-socialized, confident, and eager to bond with people.
We put our hearts into each litter, focusing on quality over quantity. That means careful attention to health, temperament, and early training—ensuring each puppy is ready to become a beloved member of their forever family. Our goal isn’t just to place puppies in homes; it’s to give families a healthy, happy best friend for life.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and rust and fawn (isabella) and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
