I'm Kellyn M., the breeder behind NyaStar & Chequamegon located in Glenwood City, WI. We primarily breed family dogs that occasionally hunt & show. Disposition is incredibly important to me considering our dogs live with us & our two kids. We love our dogs so much & invest a lot into them. The most ordinary things can be made extraordinary simply by doing them with our dogs.
Q. & A. with Kellyn
Why did you start breeding?
I helped raise multiple litters before I ever bred my own. I love the science of preservation and the art of trying to get that dog that fits not only the standard but finds a home and is very loved. With 2 young kids at our house, I understand the value of a healthy mentally sound dog.
What makes your program special?
I raise all our puppies in our home with 2 kids under 10 that help greatly in producing bombproof dogs who love everyone.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Clumber Spaniel puppies are white. Irish Red and White Setter puppies are red and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
