I'm Wendy V., the breeder behind Oakley's Dachshund Ranch located in Plant City, FL. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. They are raised as part of the family and have plenty of exposure to people and other dogs before they go to their forever homes.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I started with one Dachshund and fell in love with the breed. Then I got another and another... I love their big personalities in little packages. I started working with a local breeder with many years of experience and endless information to help in starting my breeding program.

  • What makes your program special?

    My breeding program is special because all of my dogs are my family. My goal is to produce the healthiest puppies with the best temperament so that more people can enjoy the breed that I love so much.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, black, chocolate, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Wendy

Wendy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Wendy partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $2,750 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes AKC registration, initial vet check, first round of vaccinations, deworming, puppy socialization and a goody bag. Buyer will forfeit deposit and any rights to the Dog if Buyer fails to complete the purchase of the Dog. In the event that the Dog is not available for delivery, the buyer’s deposit will be refunded.”

Contract & health guarantee

Wendy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
