I'm Johnny M., the breeder behind Obedience 2 Death located in Denham Springs, LA. We raise, train and competition hunt Labrador Retrievers to use in our ministry. Our dogs must have great on and off switches. We are responsible breeders and want to make sure we are doing our part to give our dogs the best life possible.

    We love our dogs and want others to enjoy what we do for generations to come. We want people to have quality and excellence in a lifelong family member.
  • What makes your program special?

    We take care to be very selective in our breeding program. Health testing, genetics, and temperament are crucial components of our program.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Brucellosis

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
