I'm Pam S., the breeder behind Old Hickle Place located in Kingston, OH. Why did you start breeding?
We believe that if you commit to producing dogs of sound structure and take care of their minds and bodies, your pups will grow up to be happy, healthy, and beautiful. What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Pam
Pam has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $200 refundable deposit and $1,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Matching puppies to prospective owners is a bit of a “dating game.” We want each puppy to be matched to an owner that best meets everyone's goals and personalities. Your deposit ($200) tells me you are serious. Once the puppies are older, I begin matching puppies to prospective buyers. If the puppy you want is not available, I will refund your deposit through this site. Final payment is due one week before puppy pick up.”

About Flora
Flora is a female Border Collie over 8 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Pam decided to make her part of their program. Pam has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
