I'm Lisa W., the breeder behind Old Wire Puppies located in Crane, MO. In order to produce the best quality puppies, we breed with a focus on health, temperament, and structure. We are passionate about Poodles, and our love for these dogs shines through in every aspect of our breeding program.

Why did you start breeding?
We have always enjoyed family pets, and we always had Labrador Retrievers. We fell in love with Poodles for their amazing family oriented personalities and hypo-allergenic tendencies.What makes your program special?
Because one of my children became severely allergic to our Lab, we couldn't get another one. I began to do research into a family pet that was "non shedding" and thus began our journey into a LOVE for standard poodles. I was surprised at how intelligent, lovable and awesome Standard Poodles were! I love our dogs and it's important to us to ensure that they are genetically sound, free from any diseases that plague the breed. They have definitely become our favorite dog breed.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include apricot, black, brown, cafe au lait, cream, red, gray, silver-beige, white, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

"The price includes a one-year health guarantee, AKC registration, UTD on shots, deworming, vet checked, tails docked, and dew claws removed. This is for a limited registration only. 200.00. This is a non-refundable deposit. It will be applied to the balance due once picked up."

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
