Meet the breeder

I'm Katlin W., the breeder behind Olive Branch Acres located in Delano, TN. Our dogs are pets first and foremost! Everyone is raised inside with free access to the outdoors. We genetic test all of our adults. Our goal is to raise dachshunds that not only meet the breed standards set by AKC but also that meet all of the temperament requirements to make them the perfect pet!

Q. & A. with Katlin

  • Why did you start breeding?

Starting out we only owned one male dachshund which is how we found our love for the breed! I started looking into building an ethical breeding program. After several months of research and preparation we decided to bring home our first girl. We have slowly added to our program from there making improvements along the way and only brining in the best quality of conformation and temperament.
  • What makes your program special?

All of our puppies come from DNA tested parents. Starting on day 3 we began ESI (early scent introduction) and ENS (early neurological stimulation) these programs greatly increase the puppies chances of being well adapted in their new homes. Our main goal is to put all odds in their favor for their new home to be their forever home! We work with them on both potty and crate training as well.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, black, chocolate, fawn (isabella), fawn (isabella) and tan, blue and cream, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, fawn (isabella) and cream, blue and tan, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I had a wonderful experience with this breeder! From the very beginning, communication was excellent. Katlin was always quick to respond, answered all of my questions, and kept me updated throughout the entire process, which made everything so easy and stress-free. Our beautiful female dachshund puppy is happy, and has the sweetest personality. It is obvious she was raised with love, care, and attention before coming home with us. We couldn’t be happier with our new family member. I highly recommend this breeder to anyone looking for a well-socialized dachshund and a breeder who truly cares about both their puppies and the families they go to. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

We had an amazing experience with this breeder from start to finish! She was incredibly responsive, answered every question we had quickly, and made the entire process so easy. You can tell she truly cares about her puppies and wants them to have the best start in their new homes. One of the sweetest touches was that she sent a handmade blanket with our mini long-haired Dachshund that smelled like her momma, which made the transition so much more comforting. Our puppy is healthy, happy, and has the sweetest personality. We couldn't be happier with our experience and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for a well-loved, well-cared-for Dachshund puppy. Thank you so much! ❤️
