Olympic Peninsula Service Dogs

Josie D.

Breeder of Bernedoodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Josie D., the breeder behind Olympic Peninsula Service Dogs located in Port Angeles, WA. Not every puppy wants to grow up to be a service dog! We will know by March 17 which puppies won't continue with service training and will be available for adoption. Please apply and join our waitlist here on Good Dog. (If you'd like to apply for a service dog, please message me for more info).

Q. & A. with Josie

  • Why did you start breeding?

My mother‘s service dog inspired me. Add to that my natural love of dogs and it was a match made in heaven.
  • What makes your program special?

My program is less about the breeding and more about training. We will have fewer litters, more carefully planned for temperament. At 10 weeks, pups that don’t suit service dog training will be available to loving homes. But all the puppies begin ENS at three days, follow puppy culture program, and undergo additional one on one preliminary training, a combo we call Service Pre-School.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include mini and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include brown and white and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
