I'm Rebecca H., the breeder behind OT Maltese & Co located in Ludington, MI. This is a multi-generation-owned company established in 1988, by Rebecca's grandmother, Corlene. Rebecca grew up with Maltese and learned exceptional breeding habits by assisting her grandmother for over 30 years. In 2018, Rebecca consolidated into one line, OT Maltese.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    This is a multi-generation owned company established in 1988, by Rebecca's grandmother, Corlene, who bred Maltese for over 35 years. Rebecca grew up around Maltese and learned exceptional breeding habits by assisting her grandmother for over 30 years. In 2018, Rebecca consolidated into one line, OT Maltese & Co.

  • What makes your program special?

    Maltese are extremely smart and intuitive. They strive to please their owners and know when you're upset. They are easy to train and love your attention. Our family has had a strong bond with this breed for many years and we look forward to sharing our experiences with those we serve.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Rebecca

Rebecca has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Rebecca partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $750 non-refundable deposit and between $2,250 - $4,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Includes new puppy gift bag, AKC pre-paid registry, microchip (option), 30-day insurance, welcome home folder, vaccination record, sales contract, limited health guarantee, and encouraged contact. Deposits are required for securing your puppy selection. All deposits and fees are non-refundable.”

Rebecca may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

    Communication with Rebecca was fantastic from my first inquiry onward. She answered questions I had very quickly and thoroughly, and I could tell she genuinely cares about her dogs and pups and wants them placed in a loving home. After having our puppy , Phoebe, for a few months we still text. Phoebe is an absolutely wonderful puppy. She is very healthy, playful, affectionate, very intelligent, and isn’t just a one -person dog; she loves everyone. She came crate trained at night and her transition was great. We’ve had many dogs over 30 years, and she is perfect.
