My journey into breeding Shih Tzus began with my first pup, whose affectionate nature and charm captivated me. This love grew into a passion for raising healthy, happy puppies. Getting a puppy from Evelyn
Evelyn has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price
"The prices of our Shih Tzu puppies vary based on their color and pattern. Here’s a brief description:Solid colors,Bi-colors, Tri-colors and parti-colors, Rare or unique patterns. We require a $750 deposit to hold your puppy. Please Note: Deposit is refundable before 7 weeks of age. After 7 weeks, deposits are non-refundable, as the puppy is ready to go home and held for you."

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Parent health testing
Our ShihTzu Family reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Shih Tzus.
Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

I’m so grateful I chose Evelyn for my Shihtzu puppy. Kevin is now 8 months old and the love of my life. I was nervous about working with a breeder I didn’t know, but Evelyn made the process comfortable and easy. She even met with me during a trip to her area and brought Kevin so I could spend time with him before committing. When it was time for him to come home, she allowed my coworker—who also adopted from the same litter—to pick Kevin up and bring him to San Diego since I was at work. Throughout everything, she kept in constant communication and made the experience seamless. It was such a happy coincidence that we had been wanting a Shih Tzu puppy that our daughter had her heart set on naming Biscuit when I checked out Good Dog and came across Evelyn’s pups and found one she had already named Biscuit!! Evelyn was very personable, responsive and provided regular updates and pics throughout the whole process. She was flexible with picking a meeting spot for our Gotcha Day, and she even gave us a bag of pup goodies & supplies to take home with a little blanket that he still sleeps with every night 😊. +6Evelyn was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. She was very responsive, patient with our questions, and kept us updated with photos and information before we brought Podo home. She even allowed us to meet Podo ahead of time, which made the experience extra special, and kindly offered to drive closer to us for the pickup. She also gave us a puppy starter kit, which was such a thoughtful and sweet gesture. Podo is such a healthy, sweet, playful, and well-adjusted puppy, which really shows how much love and care he received early on.
