I'm Michelle K., the breeder behind Out West Bassets located in Willcox, AZ. We breed for long ears and lots of wrinkles! Our Basset puppies are healthy and ready to be your lifelong companion. We devote our time energy and efforts to each litter making sure our puppies are properly socialized from the moment they are born.

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
Getting a puppy from Michelle
Michelle has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $2,200 - $3,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“All our puppies are microchipped, wormed, vet checked and had first vaccinations at time of pickup. I will handle the entire registration process with AKC. Your puppy will be ready to go to their forever home with their custom "Out West" swag bag, filled with a few goodies and essentials so you can get off to a good start. When you place a deposit you will have a basset puppy reserved in your name from our next available litter. The deposit goes to the total cost of the puppy. The deposit is non-refundable.”
Contract & health guarantee
Michelle may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III), Lafora Disease (LD), Thrombopathia, Basset Hound Type, Primary Open Angle Glaucoma (ADAMST10 Exon 17)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
