We had the most amazing experience from start to finish working with Amber and Painted Rose Poodles. I'd reached out to Amber through the website and she responded quickly and answered all my questions, about Cockerpoo's in general and the temperament of the individual dogs she had available in her littler. This puppy is primarily for my eleven-year-old daughter, so I wanted a love bug, and having never had a small breed dog before I wanted one that was relatively low energy (I understand puppies are high energy, but relatively speaking) and one that was less vocal. Amber said she had just the little fellow and she was right! I think it's worth mentioning a few things I really appreciated about the process with Amber, we were scheduled to pick up our guy and she called me the day before to let me know that there was a development, specifically that one of the dog's testicles hadn't descended which while not a health risk, would possibly result in a more expensive neutering down the road and if I decided I didn't want the puppy she'd understand. Of course I'm writing this review, so it wasn't an issue, but the thoughtfulness and the professionalism of that disclosure is very appreciated. Also worth mentioning is that I live in Dripping Springs which is a three hour trip and Amber offered to drop the puppy off since she comes to Austin regularly. There was no mention of an upcharge and none was requested. My sense of Amber is that she just loves these little dogs and love making people happy with them. It's exactly what I'd imagine anyone could possibly ask for if they're going to work with a breeder. We met at a Petsmart parking lot, public spot, and she came with enough dog food for a few days, a few treats and bones, the microchip tag and plenty of helpful advice. Painted Rose Poodles and Doodles is a literal 10/10, highly recommend!
