I'm Pamela C., the breeder behind Pams Precious Shih Tzus located in Sulpher Springs, TX. Been breeding shih tzus for 23 yrs. I have 6 dogs. 4 F & 2 M. I kept Rango 1 of the males from litter last yr. But Im going to find him a good home. He is choc & wh. 9 & 1/2 pounds. 9 & 1/2 yrs old.. I have a couple of litters a yr. I breed good quality & love them very much. I was inspected yearly by AKC & state of Tex license . Smoky my other male is AKC. Suki my red F is AKC. Other 3 r APRI reg. I let license go about 6 yrs ago when I found homes for my dogs that didnt breed any more. I had never sent a dog to another home in all those yrs. Very attached to them. But was getting older & knew I had to do that. It was very emotional for me. But they have wonderful homes. I have 1 puppy that is looking for a home. Archie. Brindle & wh. Pebbles & Smokys puppy. His sister got adopted. He is 9 wks old. Gorgeous!!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got my 1st shih tzu 24 yrs ago. Little girl. As a pet. Named her Cookies & Cream. I fell in love with her personality! Next yr I got a 2nd little girl. Following yr I got a boy. Called him Gizmo. Had a litter about a yr later. Such a wonderful experience. Knew I couldnt continue my cleaning business because would be getting older. So I became a small breeder of shih tzus. Best decision I ever made. I have so many memories of my dogs. All live with me till they pass away. Patty Cake was 19 when she died. 5 yrs ago I turned 70 & had to make a hard decision. To find homes for my dogs that didnt breed any more. I found wonderful homes for everyone. Was so emotional. But knew it was the right thing to do. They keep me updated on them. Im thankful for that! I couldnt imagine my life without shih tzus. So glad I bought Cookie. The start of it all. Im a memory person. And Ive got lots of wonderful memories of my babies.

  • What makes your program special?

    I worm my adults monthly. I worm puppies every 2 wks. I give albon mixture to guard against coccidiosis. I have puppies vet checked & get a letter on each one & that goes home with them. Their reg papers. Puppies get their shots & I do a shot record for each puppy. . Yr guarantee on health. Dew claws r removed on puppies. I do puppy bag for each puppy. With bag of their puppy food. All the paperwork in a envelope. 2 cans of Lil Ceasers food. Can of pedigree food. Toys to get puppy started. Bill of sale has everything on it. Buyer signs. I sign. Buyer gets original copy. I kept carbon for my records.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, liver and white, blue and white, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 deposit and between $1,250 - $1,650 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price depends on color & sex. And size . I dont believe in big deposits. If they change their mind & dont get puppy when ready to go I do not give deposit back. If anything is wrong with puppy at vet like open fontanell, umbibical hernia I will come down on price because fontanel will close as they grow. Umbibical hernia can be fixed by vet. Or give deposit back if problem at vet. . I get a letter on each puppy on vet checkup. New owner gets that. And reg papers. And 3 gen pedigree. And yr guarantee on health. All on bill of sale. I give shot record on each puppy with labels from shots on it.”

When I first reached out regarding a puppy I deeply wanted, I was disappointed to find out the puppy in question had already been adopted😖! A day or so later, Pam reached out letting me know that the original adoptee did not end up getting the puppy and was available again. I didn't hesitate to make arrangements to pick the puppy up. Pam was very transparent on the puppy history background as she was indeed a very special puppy!!!
