I'm Cheryl S., the breeder behind PapillonPups located in Jamestown, CA. We adore our papillons. They’ve enriched our lives in ways we never imagined, and we are so happy to be able to share the wonderful qualities of this incredible breed with others. Owning a Papillon is a beautiful experience, and it would be our honor to connect you with the perfect new addition to your family.
Q. & A. with Cheryl
Why did you start breeding?
Our first introduction to Papillons was when we visited my husband’s sister. We were captivated by her delightful, sweet little Papillon, Rosco. Upon returning home, we began our search for our own Papillon. We studied the show standards for Papillons, believing we should have a true representation of the breed. As empty nesters, our Paps are our children. When our current paps came with such great lineage, we decided it would be fun to share our passion with others in the form of puppies. To our delight, the families who have adopted our pups, keep us updated with texts and photos!
What makes your program special?
We are not a puppy mill. Out Papillons are born and raised in our home, along with our pets. They are well socialized with people, as well as with other dogs and with our cats. Besides indoor time with us, we take them outside for long periods, to frolic, play and explore.
We only breed Papillons’ that meet the AKC standard in conformation and markings. We were pleased to see every pup in this litter meet these standards. They all have the beautiful mask that covers both eyes and ears. Their magnificent butterfly ears are set at the desired 45 degree angle, and their tail is set high, draping gracefully over their back. They already have a nice ruff beginning to show on their ears, tail and chest. these pups could be good show prospects. They also exhibit the personality and temperament which make this breed a marvelous companion. They thrive on companionship, and their athleticism makes them ideal hiking partners and potential agility competitors. Their sweet, loving, intelligent temperaments make them wonderful therapy and service dog prospects.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and sable and black brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Mr. Bentley, dad
Papillon
About Mr. Bentley
Mr. Bentley is a perfect representation of the Papillon breed. Watching him move, you are impressed by his regal poise, head high, chest out, tail curved over his back, as he glides along, his beautiful ruff on his chest and tail flowing. He my constant companion, whose favorite perch is snuggling next to me or on my shoulders. When I leave, he begs to come along. A playful, cheerful little guy, he loves to tease his buddies. While Mr. Bentley could care less about chasing a ball, he loves to steal his brother's ball. He'll grab it, jump up beside me for protection, growling loudly as he dares him to get his ball back. He can have a mighty big growl for such a tiny dog. LOL!
Merci’, mom
Papillon
About Merci’
Merci' is a gorgeous girl, reflecting the spaniel heritage of the Papillon. Not only is she beautiful, she's a lover-girl. When you greet her, she leans in with the most loving hug!!! A well rounded little lady, we could have trained her for agility, She runs for the pure joy of running. She will run back and forth with our papillon who will chase a ball endlessly, just for the fun of running! She likes to explore, and has found many treasures on our property. While athletic, she has a quiet, sweet temperament, and loves to curl up and snuggle in your lap.
