I'm Alice F., the breeder behind Paradox Dachshunds located in Youngstown, FL. At Paradox Dachshunds, our dogs are beloved family members. We aim to produce lifelong companions; providing a solid foundation for our puppies. We incorporate early stimulations, puppy culture, and certified vet vaccinations/health certificates to help our puppies have the best start in life.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Dachsunds are funny little dogs, full of personality and versatile enough to follow you on a hike or to cuddle up for a movie. They’re great with kids and make life better! When we got our first dachshund, we were warned that, liked chips, “you can’t have just one!” That turned out to be very true for us and over time we knew that we wanted to produce amazing puppies for others to enjoy.

  • What makes your program special?

    We live with our dogs always underfoot! We provide our puppies with early stimulations, Puppy Culture, certified vet care, exposure to children, dogs and cats, farm animals and other environmental stimuli. We offer hand delivery services, never using shipping, and lifelong new family support.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, chocolate and cream, black and cream, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Alice

Alice has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Includes: -vet given first shots and health certificate - a custom bag; toys, treats, mom scented blanket, sample of current food and litter training pellets -lifetime support -trupanion insurance. Holding fees apply to puppy purchase price and are non refundable. Once a holding fee is paid, puppies are removed from all sale sites.”

Alice may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
