I'm Valerie Y., the breeder behind Paramount Aussies located in Glade Spring, VA. We are an ASCA Hall of Fame Kennel and an AKC Breeder of Merit GOLD! We are breeders of exceptional family pets as well as versatile Aussies earning AKC & ASCA Champions and performance titles in Agility, Rally, Obedience, Herding, Therapy Dog, Dock Diving, Fast CAT, Scent Work and Trick Titles.

Why did you start breeding?
I wanted to be able to produce exceptional quality puppies that could make a difference in peoples' lives. Puppies that will bring joy to their owners with great temperaments and good genetics that would help them live to their fullest potential. I also wanted to produce dogs that would positively contribute to the breed for years to come in the show and performance venues and breeding programs.What makes your program special?
We are an ASCA Hall of Fame kennel. We breed for health, great temperaments & QUALITY. Our dogs are AKC & ASCA Champions proving their ability to stand out among their peers in this breed. We also have many performance titled offspring to show our dogs aren't just beautiful but are smart & biddable, too! We take breeding very seriously and a lot of time and thought go into every litter we breed.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Valerie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Our puppies are AKC and ASCA registered. They come with multiple dewormings, microchipped and their first vaccination. All parents are health tested.”

Valerie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Dentition
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 (PRA-crd1), Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), Australian Shepherd Type, DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
