I'm Britney A., the breeder behind Pardi Poms located in Shelby Twp, MI. We are a small, in-home AKC Pomeranian Breeder. All my Pomeranians are AKC Registered. I'm committed to producing only the best puppies for my Pom Families.
Q. & A. with Britney
Why did you start breeding?
My love for this breed started when I was a teen. I remember seeing my first Pomeranian and instantly fell in love. I'm not sure what I love the most...their beautiful teddy bear like faces, or their perfectly fluffy coat?! Now that my youngest of three children is 2, I started to think about my career goals and what I’m passionate about. I’d considered going back in the medical field, I loved working with patients but I wanted something more. I searched for several weeks looking for my perfect Pomeranian.
What makes your program special?
I’m a firm believer in what you feed your body contributes to your overall health. This applies to our furry friends too! All my Poms will be fed a natural, nutrient based diet. I expect my buyers to continue to feed them only natural dog food. In addition, I feed my Poms daily Coconut Oil, and Kelp Powder to Improve Digestive, Immune, and Coat Health. If you wouldn’t feed your children McDonald's every day, why would you feed it to your furbaby? If you need recommendations, I will gladly provide them for you.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, orange, cream, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Excellent level
Pardi Poms reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Pomeranians.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Coat/Trait Panel, DNA Profile, OFA/CHIC DNA Repository, Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
