Meet the breeder

I'm Jill P., the breeder behind Parsons Australian Shepherds located in Allegan, MI. We focus on producing all around pup to go in any direction or just a family companion to love. We strive for healthy happy puppies! Handled daily by children and adults. We are well known for successful service, therapy, emotional support & performance dogs. Easy going laid back type!

Q. & A. with Jill

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was given my first Aussie back in the 70s, mid-80s and I got my first female. I started my own breeding program in 1986. I fell in love with this breed completely! My goal is for an all around Aussie that can compete in any direction but keep that snuggle bug loving personality. We have produced many accomplished in service & therapy, & many with performance & conformation titles.
  • What makes your program special?

I am a breeder that breeds from my heart. My dogs mean the world to me. I don’t rehome my retired dogs they stay for life. I strongly believe a dog is a lifetime commitment for everyone. I also completely understand how much a dog means to those needing emotional support, therapy, or service dog. My dogs are OFA & kept UTD on Pawprint full panel genetic testing even as new test are available.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
