I'm Patricia N., the breeder behind Pat N Ricks Mi-Kis located in Louisville, KY. We are a small, family program focused on raising healthy, happy pups. Each of our dogs is thoroughly socialized and loved! We love to show our dogs and are so proud of their accomplishments in the ring. What makes your program special?
I health test my adults for eyes, hearts and patella’s before breeding them. Over the last 20 years our puppies have gone to so many lovely homes and people. We only have 1-2 litters a year now but they are special!

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Acral Mutilation Syndrome (AMS)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
