About Maverick
Maverick was our pick-of-the litter from our Grace x Goose pairing. He has turned out to be a great combination of his parents, both in looks and ability. He is 73 pounds with a nice athletic build, silky coat, wonderful temperament, and just all around delightful Labrador retriever. Maverick was placed with his guardian family, near Appleton, at 8 weeks of age. When he’s not being spoiled by his humans, Maverick enjoys learning new tricks and playing scenting games. He gets along well with humans of all sizes and other four-legged critters. Maverick is gentle with small children, yet can turn it up and rough house with older kids/adults and be brought back down to a calm demeanor when asked. Some of Maverick favorites include: car rides, retrieving, camping in Northern Wisconsin, swimming, and being a lap dog. Mavericks’ AKC titles include: Junior Hunter (2 yrs/3 mo) Canine Good Citizen (5.5 months) Canine Good Citizen Advanced (2 yrs/4 mo) Canine Good Citizen Urban (2 yrs/4 mo) Trick Dog Novice (16 months) Home Manners Adult (16 months) Scent Work Beginner (22 months) Maverick is currently working towards his AKC trick and scent intermediate titles.

About Lady
Lady was pick-of-the litter from our pairing of Grace x Soldier, making her ½ American bred lines & ½ British bred lines. She is a petite girl, weighing just 47 pounds. She has a nice slender, athletic build and toned muscles. This girl is high drive when outdoors and could go all day retrieving or trailing scents. One of her most amazing qualities is her ability to focus on her person, regardless of distractions. She has a remarkable ‘off’ switch and can be called away from chasing critters in mid stride. Indoors she is calm, yet attentive to her people. Lady was placed with her forever family near Madison when she was 13 months old. Some of her favorite things include swimming in Lake Michigan, retrieving literally anything, and “playing soccer” with her human sisters. She’s gentle and patient with a rambunctious 7-year-old and calm and comforting to the teenagers who let her sneak up on their beds. Lady loves to go where her people go – she’s as happy 'up north' running through the forest as she is walking on Lake Shore drive in Chicago. She’s confidant in any setting and is always focused on her family. No dog lover can pass her by without commenting on her stunning black coat. Lady’s intelligence, incredible will to please, along with her foundness of treats and praise, has made training her fun and rewarding. Lady has earned the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC), CGC Advanced, CGC Urban, Trick Dog Novice, and Virtual Home Manners titles. She is currently working on her trick dog intermediate and scent work titles. Lady received her Therapy Dog certification in February 2023. She will soon begin working alongside her human in a mental health crisis center and later in a psychiatric hospital unit for older adults.

About Rose
Rose has a ‘happy go lucky’ kind of personality. She is calm, yet inquisitive and gentle by nature. She adores her humans and loves to be snuggled. She enjoys being around other dogs, big or small, yet she is content playing by herself as well. She enjoys retrieving & scent games; however, I would consider her to be of low-moderate drive. Rose is so calm in the house we often times forget she is even around as she is so mild mannered and quiet. She generally just rolls with the flow and sees life through her “Rose colored glasses”. 😉 Rose spent most of her early years as an outdoor kennel dog and from what we know, received little to no training. Rose joined our family in August 2021, at 26 months of age. At that time, the only thing she knew was her name. After settling into her new surroundings, it was obvious to us how much potential Rose had. Her eagerness and willingness to learn has made training a breeze. Rose is 53 pounds and absolutely gorgeous. She has a nice blocky head, nice chest, and athletic body. Her build is typical of a lab from the 1950's era. Rose has earned the AKC Canine Good Citizen, Trick Dog, Virtual Home Manners & Scent Work titles.

About Grace
“Grace” is about as smart as they come. She is full speed ahead when outdoors with a never give up attitude. She will retrieve about anything you ask of her. She initially started her career as a Service Dog, and although successful, we felt she was better suited as a scent detection dog. I imagine Grace would tell you her favorite thing to do is to use her nose. Her ability to track is amazing and she has recovered several deer that would not have been found otherwise. During the off season, Grace enjoys searching for sheds, scent games, swimming, playing with cats, lounging on the couch with her humans, and watching squirrels and birds out the window. Grace averages 50 pounds and is absolutely stunning. She has the desired ‘off’ switch that is so sought after in a Labrador. She has an incredible will to please which has made her training very enjoyable. Grace has earned the AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC), CGC Advanced, CGC Urban, Trick Dog Novice & Intermediate, Virtual Home Manners and Scent Work titles. Most recently Grace passed her practical Therapy Dog assessment and we are in the process of getting her paperwork finalized to start working at local Veteran facilities.
