Meet the breeder

I'm Gabriela P., the breeder behind Patton Premier Labradors located in Charlotte, NC. At Patton Premier Labs, breeding is more than a business it's our passion. Located in the Charlotte, North Carolina, we focus on quality over quantity, raising each puppy in a nurturing home environment.

Q. & A. with Gabriela

  • Why did you start breeding?

We got into breeding after falling in love with our first English Lab, Charlotte. Her gentle temperament and intelligence sparked a passion in us to learn more about the breed. What began as a love for one incredible dog grew into a commitment to raise healthy, well-balanced puppies for families to enjoy.
  • What makes your program special?

Our program is special because we focus on both quality and heart. Our Labs come from carefully selected champion lines, and every dog undergoes thorough health testing. We raise our puppies in our home with structure, love, and early socialization so they grow into confident, well-balanced companions ready to thrive in their forever families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Gabriela

Gabriela has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Gabriela partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“At Patton Premier Labs, we believe that placing a puppy is not a sale, it is the beginning of a lifelong relationship. We do not match puppies on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, we carefully evaluate temperament, personality, energy level, and household dynamics to ensure each puppy is thoughtfully placed in the environment where they will thrive. How Our Process Works 1. Reservation List Families join our reservation list once a deposit is received. Deposits secure a place in line, not a specific puppy. 2. Temperament Assessment At approximately 6–7 weeks of age, we conduct structured temperament evaluations. This allows us to understand each puppy’s: Confidence level Energy drive Sociability Sensitivity Recovery response 3. Family Consultation We consider: Lifestyle (active, home-based, travel frequency) Experience with dogs Children in the home Goals (companion, therapy prospect, active lifestyle partner, etc.) Long-term expectations 4. Guided Matching Based on these evaluations, we guide families toward the puppy best suited for them. Our goal is not preference-based selection, it is compatibility-based placement. We reserve the right to make final placement decisions in order to protect both the puppy and the family experience.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $3,500 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our puppies are priced based on the quality of their champion bloodlines, comprehensive health testing, and the hands-on care they receive in our home. Each puppy goes home with age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a health guarantee, and a starter kit. A deposit is required to reserve a puppy, with the remaining balance due at pickup. A non-refundable deposit reserves your puppy and confirms your spot on our waitlist or litter. The remaining balance is due at pickup, helping us plan and care for each puppy.”
