I'm Patricia & Shawn B., the breeder behind Patty’s Paws located in Winston Salem, NC. We are a hard working family and we love our dogs! We love raising our puppies and meeting people from around the United States! We have been breeding our dogs for 3 years but also have previous experience in breeding dogs from about 15 years ago. Trish also has experience as a vet technician and provides ongoing advice to the families who have purchased one of our pups. All of our puppies have first vaccines, vet check, deworming and fecal exam, and are microchipped!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    When we began looking for a Morkie, we saw that there are many scams out there looking to hook people into placing a deposit for a puppy that doesn’t exist. It took months of first looking to adopt, not finding a Morkie, and the months of dodging scam attempts before we finally got our first baby, Benji. We named him after our favorite famous dog from the 80s! After finding Benji, we realized that there must be others out there struggling as we did to find a Morkie, and thus, we began our little business, in hopes of saving people from broken hearts due to scammers in this area!

  • What makes your program special?

    We really, REALLY do our best to make your experience special! We send photos and videos, conduct video calls, encourage home visits, and really are available 24/7 to our buyers! We also do something special on your take home day to truly make your experience one of a kind, and it’s something no other breeder does a far as we know! It’s a secret! But you won’t be disappointed!

Getting a puppy from Patricia & Shawn

Patricia & Shawn has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Patricia & Shawn partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“really i’m looking for people whose personalities and families will match with the personality of the puppy. for example, a fun loving active male puppy would do great with a family who have kids who will have the time to play with the puppy, and a smaller lap loving, quiet little girl baby would do great is the main apple of her parents eyes. She might not need a family of children to be happy. I do my very best to match personalities in such a way that the owners and dogs will naturally be happy and satisfied together.”

Puppy prices include a $200 refundable deposit and between $800 - $1,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

We provide life long advice to your family if you ever need any help with your new family member!   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Patricia knows her breed. She answered all my questions, and if you need her she responds quickly. Reese is now almost, a full 2 lbs. And very frisky.
