Breeder of Dachshunds

Meet the breeder

I'm Paula S., the breeder behind Paula's Dachsunds located in Pekin, IL. Having a dog in our lives is such a blessing. We find so much fulfillment in providing that same companionship to other homes! Our puppies become integral members of our family. They’re a daily part of everything we do until they’re ready to join their forever families.

Q. & A. with Paula

  • Why did you start breeding?

As a child my family had dogs. Specifically a Dachshund king Charles spaniel. She was such a good dog. Now as adult I have Dachshunds. So I did research about them. Then recently had my 1st litter. They are so sweet very loved.
  • What makes your program special?

I believe my breeding is special because my litter is spoiled & well taken care of. I feed a higher quality of dog food and also give them fresh and freshly cooked dog safe human foods. My puppies play with dog safe baby toys as well as puppy dog toys with different sounds. They are started on pee pad training as well as crate training.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include chocolate and tan and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
