Meet the breeder

I'm Vickie B., the breeder behind Paws Farm Retrievers located in Greensburg, KY. Responsible, loving, dedicated breeder. Responsible to complete AKC recommended health testing. Loving puppies is priority - we cuddle, play, train, and socialize- with lots of TLC! Dedicated to ensuring puppy is placed in a family appropriate for his temperament and to assisting families as needed.

Q. & A. with Vickie

  • Why did you start breeding?

In 2012, I became a puppy raiser for Meadow Park. Later, I met Julie Case, who trains service and therapy dogs.  Pat and Julie taught me so much about breeding and raising puppies with the temperament needed for service work.  With this experience, I began my own breeding program in late 2022. My goal is to love and prepare Labrador Retriever puppies for service, therapy and awesome companions.
  • What makes your program special?

The love, dedication, and hard work we pour into our dogs and puppies is the Paws Farm Retrievers' difference! Our puppies are loved from birth - we cuddle and work with them every day! We introduce our pups to a vast variety of situations and people. Every puppy has the foundation to become a service dog, which makes him/her and ideal family companion who will bring years of joy to your life!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Mack has been wonderful. He's getting along great with our four-year-old long-haired German Shepherd. He's enjoying wandering around the acreage. A great companion.

We had the most magical experience with Vickie 🐾 leading us to our new sweet baby Tikka! (Ember). Vickie was kind enough to personally fly Tikka up to Rapid City and meet us last weekend. The entire process and communication was seamless! Looking forward to a lifelong relationship ♥️

We recently had the pleasure of purchasing a black Labrador retriever from Paws Farm Retrievers, and we couldn't be happier with our experience! Vickie, the owner, was incredibly nice and helpful throughout the entire process. She took the time to answer all of our questions and made sure we felt comfortable with our new furry friend. The puppy we brought home is now 9 weeks old and already shows signs of being exceptionally smart and well-behaved. It's clear that Vickie puts a lot of love and care into raising her dogs. We can’t recommend Paws Farm Retrievers enough for anyone looking to adopt a wonderful companion. Thank you, Vickie, for bringing such joy into our lives!

Vickie is a beautiful human being. She also is an excellent dog breeder. My wife and I had a seamless and professional experience all the way through. We have been overjoyed with Ernie everyday. Not only is he absolutely beautiful, he’s very intelligent and well behaved too. He’s our little angel. He’s brought so much happiness to our family. Thank you Vickie for all that you do and keep doing. We couldn’t be happier with this whole experience. And thank you Good Dog!

Vickie was terrific to work with--quick to respond to messages and full of information. She obviously cares so much about her pups-- I was very impressed with her program. She helped make my adoption of Logan (formerly Derby Green Collar) so easy-- even keeping him for awhile, allowing me to bring him home at the optimal time. He's the sweetest, smartest puppy! Highly recommend Paws Farm.
