I'm Patti J., the breeder behind PBJ Farms located in Terrell, TX. We’re so excited to be able to help families experience the longtime loyalty of welcoming a new puppy into their lives! Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We began breeding with the plan of just breeding Morkies, We have a 12 year old who has been the absolute perfect dog. She got sick about 4 years ago, and I was afraid I was going to lose her. Having just retired from teaching, I decided that this was a great way to get in the nurturing that I still felt called to do. We started breeding Maltese puppies because we had a real hard time finding this breed. I love the breed because they are so faithful to their person. We just began breeding Yorkies when a gorgeous male kind of fell into our laps. He has the most playful personality and our female has been the BEST mother to all of her puppies.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies are treated like family from day 1. They are well socialized and hand held daily. All of the parents are our own dogs and will never be sold or rehomed after they're done breeding.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Yorkshire Terrier puppies are black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Patti

Patti has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $1,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Price includes a beautiful puppy with a one year guarantee of no genetic health issues. Puppies are nurtured in our home and exposed to dogs, cats and various farm animals (through a fence). They are handled daily and come prespoiled. Price includes 2 rounds of vaccinations and deworming. Puppies are ready to go home at 10 weeks old. . 500 reserves your puppy. Deposit is non-refundable, as time lost could keep a puppy's new family from getting to spend every possible moment with their new baby."

Contract & health guarantee

Patti may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     I cannot say enough good things about Patti. This was by far the best puppy buying experience. She allowed me to meet the puppies and parents.     We cannot begin to express how amazing Patti at PBJ Farms has been!     I'd recently lost my best friend of 14 years and was perusing available puppies, without intention. I happened across PBJ Farms brand new puppies. Low and behold they had a litter three days from the date I lost my boy; three girls and a boy. <smile> It felt like a sign. I pondered my heart then sent a message of interest to Patti. She was so responsive and thoughtful. This is clearly not her first rodeo. I am over the moon that she trusts me to be little Elvis' forever mama. #blessed What I love about PBJ Farms is the dogs they breed are their family dogs. When we drove in to pick up little Elvis we were welcomed into their home where their dogs 'live' not just make babies. The Jennings' homestead is oozing with love. My beloved Sam George was a rescue from a closed puppy mill and came to us with separation anxiety and a deep seeded fear of something. Elvis is confident, happy, literally bounces like a Tigger and has only barked once in the week he's been home. There is one other predominant reason I feel 100% confident in recommended PBJ Farms; they are selective when choosing forever homes for their babies. Not all pass muster. They do this because they love the breed and it shows.
