I'm JLynn A., the breeder behind Pennyrile Australian Shepherds located in Belmont, VT. I have 3 generations of my dogs at my home. I breed for a well rounded dog with an emphasis on family dogs that are adaptable to living on a farm and also can live in the city with an active family that is looking for an active dog for their lifestyle.

Why did you start breeding?
Started my breeding program with a National Stock Dog Registered female from a cattle farm in Kentucky.
What makes your program special?
I appreciate the original working line bred Australian Shepherds and incorporate some of those lines in my breeding but also want an Australian Shepherd that can be content being just an all around great,protective family dog that doesn’t mind just hanging out and relaxing with the family!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

JLynn was a phenomenal breeder and person! She was extremely communicative throughout the entire process, and took the time to send me personal videos and photos of our puppy Pandora. At pick up she provided an educating atmosphere where questions could be asked and shared stories. All her dogs were happy, and puppies were in a clean and well taken care of environment. She truly cares about her animals, and was flexible with pick up times. Included at pickup was a starter kit for our puppy and treat (so king!). If there’s a chance to have another one of her puppies in the future I will take it!

JLynn was very responsive to all my questions, and accommodating of my impromptu schedule. When picking up the puppy, she gave me a starter package with information and goodies, among other helpful surprises. The puppy is a bundle of joy. I already know I’ll come back to JLynn in a couple of years when I’m ready to give this puppy a sibling. So grateful!!
