I'm Mindy S., the breeder behind Penny’s Promises located in Houma, LA. Our dachshunds are our babies. They are our family members and we hope we are raising your future family member as well. All of our puppies are spoiled and loved, like we believe a pet should be. We cherish our puppies from birth up until they leave our arms to snuggle into yours!

Getting a puppy from Mindy
Mindy has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
"Price includes deworming every 2 weeks from 2 weeks until pickup at 10 weeks, vet check, 1st shots and second round of shots. Ckc pet only registration available. No breeding rights transferred. A non refundable deposit is required to allowed “claim” your puppy, and be removed off the waitlist. Please notify me if there is a preference for temperament, color, gender or coat type when placing deposit so I can best match with your puppy. Full payment must be made prior to pickup."
Contract & health guarantee
Mindy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Penny
Laid back personality but loves to play. Food motivated to learn tricks. She loves to sleep by my feet. She is such a kind heart. She does love to chew any toy. Her favorites are the ones that are indestructible! She doesn’t like getting her feet wet especially outdoors. She likes to stay clean if given the choice. She is a lap dog.

About Cashew
Cashew is as sweet as they come. He loves to play ball and loves to run! When it’s time for bed, she snuggles up by my head. He loves snuggles and cuddles and loves to get dirty outside so he can take a bath! He loves to get his coat brushed and is so proud when he’s told he’s a good boy. He really is smart, but needs the right motivation to do tricks. He learned to roll over in one day and taught Penny how to sit for a treat.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
