I'm Penny H., the breeder behind Penny's Scottish Terriers located in New Jersey. My program was built with love, care, and intention from the ground up. The quality of my Scottish Terrier puppies reflects the conscious decisions I make throughout every part of the breeding process. I keep a variety of factors in mind when choosing dogs to breed so that puppies can inherit the best of both parents. I am confident that my puppies will enrich your life just as much as my dogs have touched mine!

Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
