I'm Dawn S., the breeder behind PepperJack Poms located in Port Charlotte, FL. PepperJack Poms is a family-run business dedicated to breeding healthy and happy Pomeranians. With decades of experience, we understand the importance of genetic testing to help breed healthier offspring and we are passionate about the well-being of every dog we breed. Not only do we breed our dogs, but we also believe in breeding with a purpose. Our dogs enjoy Fastcat and Scent Work Trials.

Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Dentition
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
D Locus (Dilute) DNA test, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Multifocal Retinopathy 2 (CMR2), X-Linked Progressive Retinal Atrophy (XL-PRA), Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
