Meet the breeder

I'm Leann G., the breeder behind Petite Paw Dachshunds located in Lake Forest, CA. Pettite Paw Dachshunds 🐾 A small family-run breeder of miniature dachshunds, raising each puppy in our home with love, care, and daily attention. We focus on health, temperament, and quality. Our goal is to thoughtfully match each puppy with a loving home where they become the missing piece of someone’s family. 🐾.

Q. & A. with Leann

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding through my mom, who has always had a deep love for her dogs. As she entered retirement, she found herself with the time to truly dedicate to them and felt it was the right season of life to do things the right way—giving both the dogs and the process the attention, care, and intention they deserve. She had built such a special bond with her dachshunds and truly believed they were the most wonderful little dogs. Wanting to share that joy with others, she decided to begin a small, thoughtful breeding program focused on raising happy, healthy puppies in a loving home environment. I joined her in this journey to support both the care of the puppies and the business side of things. Together, we’ve created a partnership rooted in love for the breed, a commitment to responsible practices, and a shared goal of bringing well-raised, cherished dachshunds into other families’ lives. For us, this isn’t just about breeding—it’s about doing things with integrity, patience, and genuine care for every dog involved.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes our program special is the love and intention behind everything we do. We are a small, family-run program where every dog is a cherished family pet, raised in our home with constant care and attention. My mom and I work together to raise well-socialized, affectionate puppies, with a strong focus on health, temperament, and responsible breeding. Our goal is to share the joy these dogs bring to our lives with families who will love them just as much.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
