I'm Norman B., the breeder behind Phoenix Shih Tzu located in Hayden, ID. We love this breed and the experience of providing high quality healthy beautiful puppies that become wonderful companions & spoiled pets. All our puppies go to loving pet homes. None of our puppies go with breeding rights, sorry.

Why did you start breeding?
We got our first Shih Tzu Skittles when our son was 8 and was going through surgeries for a ski accident. Skittles turned out being the best therapy dog a boy could have. We fell in love with the breed and went on to acquire the best of the best dogs we could find and built a quality breeding program.What makes your program special?
First, we allow people to come to our home to see the litter in person and the parents of their future puppy. Next, we only breed top quality dogs. We have two males, Jack has multiple champions in his pedigree. Our stud Parker is our new stud, BOTH are genetically tested via Embark and BOTH are clear of every health condition they tested for.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Puppy prices include a $1,000 deposit and between $1,000 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

2025 09 01: UPDATE: Jack is being retired and the puppies in Coco’s litter are his last. We will be using Parker to sire our future litters. Jack has been DNA genetic tested at Embark and is found to be CLEAR of everything they tested him for (which was over 260 health scans)! Jack also has tons of champions and 5 grand champions in his pedigree! Jack is a beautiful example of what a ShihTzu should be!

Norman was so responsive, knowledgeable about Shih Tzus, and sensitive to my needs during my puppy search.
