Q. & A. with Dana
Why did you start breeding?
16 years ago I fell in love with a Shih Tzu....the rest you understand if you have one!
I am a true dog person. I started with Australian Shepherds, loved the energy! Working trials, fly-ball, agility & obedience. When my children were young my time became limited, our Shih Tzu was such a treasure to our family I realized that was the breed I wanted to share with others!
What makes your program special?
Our dogs of course! We only have a litter or two a year, so each one is very special to us and gets our full attention!
All of our dogs are AKC reg and health tested with Embark, all clear.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chocolate and tan, black and tan, black, liver, blue, red, black and white, liver and white, red and white, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

These dogs are already reserved or have gone home.

The whole process was great! From keeping me updated on the birth to the time of first visit to the pick up day I was kept informed on maverick’s progress. He has fit into our family and is very smart.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
