Meet the breeder

I'm Kathy E., the breeder behind Pine Isle Chesapeakes located in De Forest, WI. As a breeder i make sure my dogs are structurally sound by doing conformation and health testing my dogs. Puppies are raised on puppy culture and have their first round of vaccinations before heading off to their homes.

Q. & A. with Kathy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding through the help and consideration of mentors. I want to make sure the breed standard and quality of health is passed on for generations to come.
  • What makes your program special?

I am striving to maintain the temperament of a therapy/service dog while having the drive of the Chesapeake. I want my puppies to have that off switch and know the proper time to switch things on for playing, hunting, and being an active Chesapeake when called upon.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
