I'm Martha E., the breeder behind Piney Oak Aussies located in Mineola, TX. Our Australian Shepherd dogs are family dogs, the standard Aussies enjoy our fenced backyard during the day. Our pups are raised in a home environment.

Why did you start breeding?
As we were raising sheep we noticed that we needed not just guard dogs but also herd dogs. That's how we got Comet, our standard-size male. He is the most obedient and sweet dog we ever had. Due to his temper and intelligence, we decided to breed him and chose two females for him. We also have toys and minis.What makes your program special?
Our Aussies are raised as pets, Comet has some experience as a herding dog, and Nova also showed herding instincts. So we are raising family dogs that can also be trained as herding dogs. Our Aussies are exposed to elderly people, kids, cats, and other dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“The price includes the first round of vaccination, deworming, and socialization. Standard size Puppies are ASDR registrable and ACA eligible. The deposit is required to hold your puppy.”

ASDR registered. Smart and friendly, best dog we ever had! Comet is also very obedient and he loves to go on car rides and hikes. Best companion ever, he is friendly and easy going. He is crate trained. Great herding dog but calm enough to stay and behave inside a house. He has been featured in two dog calendars! He passes his smart and social personality to his pups.
