I'm Jessica A., the breeder behind Piney Woods Miniature Dachshunds LLC located in Linden, TX. We are a family-run breeding program offering loving, loyal,well rounded puppies. We focus on quality, care & health with each litter we raise. Quality over quantity is very important to us. All dogs are raised in our home, with our family, most with Champion bloodlines,we also have several imports.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Horse breeding has always been apart of my life since I was a child, I started breeding dogs in 2015, my passion for animals and love of dachshunds grew into a beautiful program I have today.

  • What makes your program special?

    Each one of our dogs is a family member, when you purchase a puppy from Piney Woods your not just purchasing a puppy you are joining the Piney Woods Family. We build lasting relationships with each of our puppy parents. We have Imports, Champion & International Champion Bloodlines at the root of our program, we have built a program of high quality phenomenally bred dogs. Most of all we TRULY CARE.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include wirehaired and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, brindle, chocolate and cream, black and tan, black and cream, chocolate and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jessica

Jessica has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Jessica partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $6,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies are usually sold to pet homes only, but breeding rights can be discussed, we do allow them to approved homes. Puppies are litter box trained, receive vaccinations, dewormed, and receive vet issued health certificates, they are raised in our home, spend extensive time with children, and are extremely well socialized.”

Jessica may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
