I'm Eileen H., the breeder behind Pint Size Pup located in Rifle, CO. We believe in ethical, responsible breeding with a strong focus on health, temperament, and lifelong well-being. Our dogs and puppies are raised in our home, surrounded by love, care, and plenty of family time. We’re committed to giving every puppy the best possible start and providing lifelong support to our puppy families. Why did you start breeding?
My interest in breeding began with my love for dachshunds and wanting to experience the joy of raising a litter the right way. After learning more about responsible breeding, health, temperament, and proper puppy care, I decided to take the next step. My goal is to raise puppies with the same love and care I give my own dogs.What makes your program special?
Our puppies are raised in our home as part of the family, not in a kennel environment. We prioritize health, temperament, socialization, and individual care from the very beginning. We take pride in raising well-loved puppies and building relationships with their families. Our commitment doesn’t end when a puppy goes home—we’re here to provide lifelong support.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Getting a puppy from Eileen
Eileen has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Eileen partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“We take great care in helping each puppy find the right family. Families are screened and approved before being matched with a puppy. As the puppies grow, we get to know each one’s individual personality and temperament so we can help make the best possible match. Our goal is to find loving, responsible homes where each puppy will be a cherished member of the family for life.”
Price
“Our puppy price includes AKC registration, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a veterinary health examination, and early socialization. Each puppy also goes home with food and treats, toys, a blanket with the scent of mom and littermates, and a puppy starter kit. Most importantly, our puppies are raised in our home with love, individual attention, and care from day one. A $750 deposit is required to reserve a specific puppy and will be applied toward the total purchase price. Deposits are non-refundable, except in circumstances outlined in our puppy contract.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Lola
Meet Lola – Our Sweetheart🐾💕 Lola is the heart of our house and the definition of a gentle soul. With her calm, loving temperament and affectionate personality, she has never met a stranger. Whether she’s curled up beside us for cuddles or quietly following us from room to room, Lola’s favorite place is wherever her people are. She has the sweetest disposition—patient, kind, and incredibly intuitive—which makes her such a joy to live with. Her easygoing nature and loving heart are exactly the qualities we hope to pass on to her puppies. We are eagerly looking forward to Lola’s first litter and have no doubt she will be a devoted, attentive mother. Watching her care for those she loves has shown us just how naturally nurturing she is, and we can’t wait to see her begin this new chapter. We hope her puppies inherit not only her beautiful looks but, even more importantly, her exceptional temperament and gentle spirit. We are so excited to share this journey with families who will one day welcome a little piece of Lola’s heart into their homes. She is AKC registered and we do yearly recommended health exams. Stay tuned we are hopeful for litter due date soon!

Pint Size Pup reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Dachshunds.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
