I'm Shelley M., the breeder behind Poetry Poms located in Sprague, WA. We are the only AKC Pomeranian Breeder Of Merit in all of Eastern Washington, North Idaho and all of Montana.
We DNA test our dogs through Paw Print Genetic to ensure healthy breeding dogs.
Our dogs are pets first and foremost and show dogs second. We do not have children, so our dogs are our children. Our dogs live in our home with us.
Q. & A. with Shelley
Why did you start breeding?
One year after obtaining my first Pom, who I showed in obedience, I learned about conformation showing. I contacted a breeder judge to obtain my first show boy and a couple of months later I obtained my foundation girl from a highly respected breeder. Together these 2 dogs established my breeding program and produced my BISS AM CAN INT UKC CH Ryms W Fair Warning aka Ferris.
What makes your program special?
I am especially careful and diligent when choosing my breeding pairs. I also have a dedicated veterinarian who is honest and devoted to helping me attain my goals with my breeding program.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
